The Secret Island of Distillers
Last week our Alchemist (JM Lavoie) went in person to find inspiration on the magnificent Scottish island of Islay. Proudly presenting the new "merch" of Québécøl, the colorful character went to learn more about the historical approach used by the Scots to make whisky and of course to visit distilleries. Of course, the atmosphere was at Whisky but the gin was also present on the premises and a good opportunity to see the Scottish way of doing things in the field. Proud of their terroir, they have used for decades what they found on the island, for example The Botanist gin is made with several plants found directly on the island.
