Aloha Snow

This week's drink is in honor of that memorable time the Alchemist woke up on a Hawaiian beach with a pineapple tattooed on his butt.

It was at this time that the Alchemist discovered coconut rum. And you know us, we are proud promoters of the Québécøl line but coconut rum will always keep a special place in our hearts.

And to top it off, there's some in the cocktail this week! (We hope so, otherwise our introductory story would be more or less logical).

So this week our seasonal cocktail combines the Québecøl Cranberry Liqueur with the coconut rum of your choice, without naming the competition too much we give you a clue: TV show that told us about the adventures of lifeguards on a particular beach in the United States "Alerte à ......"

So it will take you:

-1 lime cut into quarters

-1/2 oz maple syrup

-3/4 oz of our Québécøl Cranberry

-3/4 oz coconut rum

-3/4 oz grapefruit juice

-Enough cranberry juice to fill your shaker

To make your Aloha Snow, start by putting two lime wedges in the bottom, add your maple syrup, your Québécøl cranberry , the coconut rum and the grapefruit juice. Gently crush the mixture with your bar muddler (alternatively a cooked turkey leg bone will do a great job - not sure about the taste) while avoiding crushing the lime peel too much. Then fill the shaker with ice, add your cranberry juice to fill and shake it until you can no longer hold your hands on it. Strain into cocktail glasses while looking with a knowing smile at the snow shovel waiting for you on the edge of the door.
