Good Night (the)

This time it's for real.

By popular demand (like 2 people asked for it, but we're making a big deal out of it as usual) we're giving you the majestic "good night." To concoct this recipe, our Alchemist emerged from the basement where we try to hide him and went straight to Greece.

He asked us:

-What do people wear in Greece?

We replied:

-Not sure, like us...?

So he put on his finest clothes (see photo) to not only introduce Québécøl to Greece but also to draw inspiration from it for your weekly drink, and it was comfortably seated at the Thessaloniki police station that he sent us this recipe.

So for this recipe you'll need:

- 1 ounce of our memorable CØYØT

- 1 ounce of Metaxa (it's Greek... hello! thematic!!)

- 1 ounce of Tequila (try Cherry River Tequila - 100% Quebec)

- 1/2 ounce of fresh lime juice

- 1/2 ounce of our pharaonic Ptit Réduit

- 1/4 ounce of syrup (1:1 maple syrup in water)

- A splash of 7up

- A pinch of salt

- Your favorite ice

In your favorite shaker, add the CØYØT, Metaxa, Tequila, lime juice, P'tit Réduit, and the syrup. Shake it with love for at least 15 seconds to make sure it's all well mixed. Then strain it into a highball glass where you've previously placed some nice fresh ice (make sure it doesn't taste like the freezer). Then add a splash of 7up (don't make that face, just a few sips, it's not a recognized unit... yet). Finish it all off with a pinch of Sifto salt that you buy at Costco (pack of 3) in a cardboard box. Any other salt will taste less good. Take a long cocktail spoon, give it a swirl in the glass like the belle of the ball, and it's ready.

But be careful, the Bonne Nuit - it's strong! It's alcohol on alcohol with a bit more alcohol. Consume in moderation.
