Megantic's Mojito

This week, once again, we brought out the alchemist to find us a recipe. So we woke him at dawn, took him out of the box he shares with "the cramp," and asked him to concoct something for the week.

He asked us - should we do something about the eclipse?

But the eclipse, the eclipse, that's so last Monday... ancient history.

So we told him, align your crooked eye and look at what's coming!

He said - the flies?

We said... close, we like your energy, focus on that.

In fact, the next drink is named in honor of Mégantic and its pineapples (understand who wants, the Alchemist occupies his free time strangely). We've made you a concoction that will gently ease you out of maple sugar season and make you long for summer.

You'll need:

-13 mint leaves (at 12 it explodes and at 14 the eclipse returns for good)

-2 ounces of COYOT

-3/4 ounce of Ptit Réduit

-2 ounces of freshly squeezed pineapple juice

-1 ounce of lime juice

Now here's how to prepare it. In a highball glass, you'll start by gently muddling the mint with a fancy bar stick or simply with a "food grade" star screwdriver. Add the other ingredients to the glass and fill halfway with ice. Stir it with the food-grade screwdriver since it's already dirty, or, if you're fancy, with a bar spoon. Add more ice and enjoy while still wondering about the pineapple story.
