Megantic's Mojito

This week we once again brought out the alchemist to find us a recipe. So we woke him up at dawn, took him out of the box he shares with "the cramp" and asked him to concoct something for the week.

He said to us - what do you do about the eclipse?

But the eclipse, the eclipse, that's so Monday... ancient history.

So he was told, align your crooked eye forward and look what's coming!

He said - flies?

We said... not far, we like your energy, focus on that.

In fact, the next drink is named in honor of Megantic and her pineapples (understand who wants, the Alchemist has a funny way of occupying his free time). We have made you a concoction that will gently take you out of the sugar season and make you want summer.

It will take you:

-13 mint leaves (at 12 it explodes and at 14 the eclipse returns for good)

-2 ounces of COYOT

-3/4 ounces of Gin-Réduit

-2 ounces freshly squeezed pineapple juice

-1 ounce lime juice

Now here's how to make it. In a highball glass you're going to start by crushing the mint a little with a fancy bar stick or simply with a "food grade" star screwdriver. Add the other ingredients to the glass and fill halfway with ice. Stir it with the food screwdriver as it's already dirty or, if you're fancy, with a bar spoon. Add some ice in there and enjoy while still wondering what's the story with pineapples.
