The Eight

This week we're going with the hunter's cocktail par excellence, Le Huit. You may have noticed that there are some pretty explosions in the forest these last few days. And one thing that goes really well with hunting is CØYØT , our own version of bourbon, 100% made with our maple alcohol and lovingly aged with a mixture of oak wood and roasted maple. A bit like our Gin-réduit will one day become the official alcohol of Quebec, CØYØT will undoubtedly become the official drink of all hunters.

And one thing we all wonder while staring at the pile of carrots while nothing moves in the woods: are these carrots good?

Honestly, we never dared to eat it, but since the carrot pouch is $8 (hence the title - remember that we are strong on the spirit of booties) we said to ourselves: "the carrot is the new lobster" and we tried to eat it. At first by closing our eyes and holding our noses, but then we came to this pseudo-prophetic revelation: carrots are damn good!

So if you come out of your spot frustrated watching a porcupine eat your carrots, pick up a few, go back to camp and do The Eight.

To get there you will need:

- 4 oz of CØYØT

- 2 oz lemon juice

- 4 oz of carrot juice (wait...4 oz of CØYØT + 4 of carrot juice = 8!!! The EIGHT!!!! It can't just be a sign!)

- 1 oz maple syrup

- Ice

Fill your shaker halfway with ice and add the rest of the ingredients. Shake this up to get through your frustration of the day for a good 30 seconds.

Fill two glasses 3/4 full with ice and strain your cocktail into the glasses.
