The Snowbird

Continuing our series of cranberry recipes to go with the season, this week we offer you the Snowbird in honor of those who ditch the snow shovel in favor of Bermuda shorts and sandals.

It's when we get a nice black ice storm at the beginning of winter that we think about them so much that in the last few days the Québecøl gang started looking at the free premises nice and warm... making maple alcohol in Mexico... it's logical right?

Get ready this week, we've prepared the recipe for you in "completely forget the shovel", "family size" or even "honey, stir us up something for the visit, I forgot they were coming".

Well, we haven't forgotten that they were coming and we're here for you. And your visitor will say to you "damn that cocktail is good" and "can we find that at the state company?" and you will be able to smile politely knowing that it will remain our little secret.

Here we go with the ingredients:

-1 bottle of Chardonnay (we told you we weren't going to do it half-heartedly)

-1 bottle of grenadine

-1 and 1/2 cups of CØYØT

-1 cup of fresh orange juice

-1 cup of our Québécøl cranberry, raspberry and Labrador tea

-1/3 cup fresh lime juice

-8 cups of ice cubes

-1 can of lemon or lime soda (hint it starts with 7)

-1 cup club soda

-Garnish - orange slices

Before starting the recipe make sure all the ingredients are not cold... are COLD. Tip, leave them outside for a while, they will eventually find the cold by themselves.

for the preparation it's easy as anything.

Place the wine, grenadine, CØYØT , orange juice, Quebecøl cranberry and lime juice in a punch bowl (in case of crisis use a 5 gallon food grade pail). Add the ice cubes and shake gently. Finish by adding the lemon-lime soda and then the club soda.

Add the orange slices on top or in the guests' glass as you wish.
