Quebeccøl – Resinous Blueberry

Quebeccøl – Resinous Blueberry
At Québécøl, our mission is to let you drink Quebec in all its colors.
And this one… it’s perhaps the most Quebecois of them all.
Introducing La Belle Mauve.
Our blueberry and fir liqueur.
Or, as we like to call it around the campfire: Quebec’s official liqueur. (Self-proclaimed, but no one has dared to contradict us yet.)
Because, really, it's hard to find anything more deeply rooted in our land than this encounter between wild blueberries, boreal fir, and maple. From Saguenay to the Eastern Townships, from Gaspésie to the old logging roads of Abitibi, this bottle tastes exactly like Quebec smells when summer slowly begins to bid farewell.
It’s that strange time of year when evenings grow cooler. When sweaters reappear, and we’re not really upset to put them back on. When geese fly over the fields as the sun sets earlier behind the maples.
We pretend to cling to summer…
but deep down, we were somewhat looking forward to autumn.
La Belle Mauve captures exactly that.
Our 100% Quebecois maple alcohol forms the base of this deeply boreal creation. Wild blueberries bring a fruity and slightly tannic freshness reminiscent of impromptu foraging by forest paths. Then comes the fir — subtle, resinous, almost enveloping — like the scent of damp conifers after a cold September rain.
And because we never do things by halves here, the fir branches are harvested directly in front of the sugar shack, then painstakingly hand-stripped one by one to extract the best of their aromas. Not because it’s easy. Just because it tastes better that way.
As for the wild blueberries, they come from Saguenay thanks to Bleu et Bon. And honestly… everyone knows that Saguenay is pretty much the spiritual capital of wild blueberries.
Every ingredient in this bottle comes from here.
Every scent tells a story of a region.
Every sip recalls a memory we hadn't planned to revisit.
To be enjoyed with a few ice cubes, in sparkling wine, around a fire, after a bike ride, the last fishing trip of the season, or simply while watching the leaves slowly begin to turn.
Because some bottles taste like fruit.
Others taste like wood.
But this one?
It tastes like the precise moment when Quebec gently transitions into autumn… and when no one is really sad about it.

100% St-Romain
All of the distillery's products are made in the municipality of St-Romain, on the border between Estrie and Beauce. Maple syrup is produced on the Érablière École site and everything is overseen by the St-Romain Development Committee. The Distillerie CDSR du Granit is therefore a community project led by people who are proud of their region and their heritage. We are happy to share our passion with true alcohol lovers and die-hard maple promoters.
Maple Artisans
