From Bredouillot
This week the cocktail is in honor of the absent and moose hunters will know what we are talking about. You know when you moo in the woods for a week and you just hear the wildlife laughing... well you come home empty-handed right? When you come home empty-handed you think back to all those beautiful moose that you didn't see or even dream of inviting one for an aperitif.
WELL MY FRIEND, LOOK NO FURTHER!
Here is the Del Bredouillot cocktail for all those who wear out their vocal cords in the woods in order to offer accommodation in their freezer to a charming horned tenant.
Since ourBlueberry-Fir Liqueur is fresh out of the oven, it's still in the spotlight this week. But we're going to pair it with another seasonal product - THE APPLE. We're finishing it off with the best ingredient in the world - maple syrup.
Your mouth is watering and not just because you spent the afternoon licking the salt block to see "what's the big deal about salt blocks?" - here we go.
It will take you:
-1 oz ofBlueberry-Fir Liqueur
-3 and 1/2 oz. of the fruitiest and sweetest sparkling cider possible
-1/2 oz maple syrup
-1/4 oz lemon juice
-1 small branch of fir
-1 lemon wedge
-Ice...yes my friend...you won't have any trouble finding some ice, trust me.
In a wine glass (alternatively you can take a beer mug in the shape of a 12 cartridge) you will combine all the ingredients except the fir tree and the lemon slice. You will stir this with a stick that you use to clean your rifle or alternatively an arrow (without the batince point, don't hurt yourself).
To impress your friends who think that "ultimately moose hunting isn't for you" you can even share it in their glasses by passing it through your birch cone to attract the moose.
At the end of the line, you put your little branch of "food grade" fir and your lemon wedge and you are ready for action.
Be careful though, consume Del Bredouillot in moderation so as not to catch the night shift of moose stalling!
