Greenland

This week we're offering you a slightly more unusual concoction that combines new flavors. Since it's January, we know you need something new in your life, so here it is:

Ingredients (or "the suspects")
¾ oz of our Juniper Pickle Liqueur (aka the Pickle), to remind you that you're an adult drinking
¾ oz of our exceptional maple wine, the 2Ø, elegant, like someone who says "apéritif" without laughing
¾ oz of Cointreau (to add a little something orange...)
¼ oz of lemon juice
A hint of absinthe, but no more, we're not in the 19th century
Orange zest – to make people think you have taste

Start by pouring a tiny bit of absinthe into your glass and swirl it gently to coat the sides, as if blessing the vessel before a ritual. Once complete, discard the excess without remorse: absinthe is more impressive when not overused. Then, in a shaker, pour our Juniper Pickle Liqueur, the 2Ø, Cointreau, and lemon juice, then add a generous amount of ice, enough to chill both the mixture and your ambitions. Close the shaker and shake vigorously, without embarrassment, until the metal becomes very cold under your fingers and you feel that something serious is happening. Strain it all into the carefully prepared glass, trying to look like someone who knows exactly what they're doing. Finish by expressing an orange zest over the cocktail to release its oils, then gently place it as a garnish, to make it seem like this result was perfectly controlled from the start.
