Perdrink
Hello, amateur!
This week, we're going with a little seasonal cocktail. We're in the cocktail advent calendar, and whether we like it or not, we have to start talking about the holiday season. Sigh... I know... I know.
But with the holiday season comes snow, right?
Yayyyyyyyy!
Okay... I can see in your eyes that we shouldn't extrapolate too much on the theme. So this week, our cocktail is 100% seasonal with a little exotic touch. For the accountants in the room, the exact answer would be 66% seasonal, but anyway, let's move on. To keep it seasonal, we're going to highlight our seasonal liqueur, which is also the cranberry, raspberry, and Labrador tea liqueur. We called it Perdrink, as the mythical animal associated with this liqueur is the partridge. We have a lot of good ideas in the morning (but by noon, we're good for nothing).
To make your Perdrink, you'll need:
-2 oz of apple juice
-2 oz of orange juice
-2 oz of cranberry, raspberry, and Labrador tea liqueur
-An orange peel for garnish
You'll start by filling a "highball" glass with ice. Gently pour in the apple juice, aiming for it to slowly settle at the bottom. Then, gently add the orange juice on top, hoping to create a relatively distinct layer. Finally, gently pour the cranberry, raspberry, and Labrador tea liqueur on top. Garnish with a finely cut orange peel to emphasize the subtle citrus touch.
