Clover
This beautiful St. Patrick's week, we decided to offer you a brand new seasonal cocktail that we affectionately named "the clover." Indeed, this week we thought, for St. Patrick's Day, why not try something different. Not the usual stout with a shamrock on top, but we're trying something directly with our seasonal product, our little cabin reduction, Mistelle as it's called.
So we went straight to Ireland with a bottle of Réduit in search of a leprechaun who would be willing to drink it in exchange for a cocktail recipe. The volunteer came forward during embarkation to Ireland, so we settled that matter quickly. He even agreed to pose in a sugar shack dressed in period costume with his little leprechaun shoes full of salt snow, just as you find at this time of year. That's why he's giving us such a beautiful smile.
But we're getting off track.
Here are the instructions for your "The Clover" recipe.
-1oz of our Smoked Juniper and Maple Mistelle
-3/4 oz of Vodka (be thematic and buy Irish... we encourage our ancestors when the neighbors are acting crazy)
-Half a lime cut into 4 segments (4... it's important)
-One teaspoon of maple sugar
-Crushed ice
-Lime for garnish
We've understood by now that the theme is green. So you're going to start by filling your glass (you can use a nice whisky glass) with 3 of your 4 lime segments and your maple syrup. With your bartender's muddler, you're going to crush it until the lime juice has absorbed your maple sugar. Then you're going to fill your glass with crushed ice and add your Mistelle and the vodka you've chosen. Stir it like a champion with your big bar spoon and complete your glass with crushed ice. Garnish the top with the last lime segment. Why 4 in total? Clover... 4 leaves... luck!
Happy St. Patrick's Day, my dear (male/female)
