World War 3

This week we're giving you a little kick of heat with a very thematic cocktail for the beginning of 2026. Don't panic, don't panic, WW3 means WOW-WOW-(and WOW 3 more times)... so WOW 5 times because this cocktail is so original. And since Santa Claus was quite worn out this year and went south, we found another spokesperson this week... who is all the more thematic if we are to believe the news.

In fact, this cocktail is also called the Devil's Lemonade and features none other than our memorable CØYØT which, in retrospect, is now the distillery's second best seller. When the bourbons left the shelves, the CØYØT was there for you.

So, to make your WW3 you will need:

-2 oz of CØYØT

-2 oz of pomegranate juice (we always buy some during the holidays and don't know what to do with it in January)

-3 oz of homemade lemonade (otherwise we recommend Kijü lemonade)

-0.5 oz of spicy maple syrup

-Red peppers for garnish

-You can make a nice rim with the Bloody Canadien Rim from Épices du Guerrier

To make your spicy maple syrup, you will need a chili pepper cut into strips, 3/4 cup of maple syrup, and 1/4 cup of water. Bring all ingredients to a gentle boil, then lower the temperature and let it simmer for 15 minutes. Gently crush the peppers and stir occasionally. Let cool, then strain out the peppers. Will keep in the fridge for 2 weeks.

For the recipe now, add the CØYØT, pomegranate juice, lemonade, and spicy maple syrup to a shaker. Add ice to the shaker and shake until your fingers can no longer hold on to it because the shaker is so cold. Meanwhile, you can put a little lemonade in a small bowl and rim your glass (mason jar). Add new ice cubes to a mason jar (500mL) and strain the cocktail over new ice (ideally large ice cubes). You can then add the taste with the spicy syrup to your liking.

Now you can sit back and watch winter pass (definitely don't watch the news).
