Turkey Load

In honor of this day when the alchemist pulled out his pickle again (we picked him up from the station last night, but the police are starting to know him and even told us "they appreciate his company") we're offering you the Turkey Load.

Pickle, turkey, load? Ugh, this isn't going in the right direction.

AND YOU ARE RIGHT!

If we consider good sense to be related to a classic cocktail, well, it's not going that way - and besides, you don't need a PhD in Mixology from the Oxford University of Fine Mixologist.

For "gun shot" enthusiasts, you certainly won't be disappointed (aka those who like to do pickle juice shots).

To make the Turkey Load, you'll need our delicious pickle-gin.

So here are the instructions:

-3 ounces of Pickle

-1.5 ounces of Vermouth (you can try Ungava's - made in Quebec)

-1.5 ounces of your favorite tonic (for us, it's President's Choice Diet, you can't go wrong... THE PRESIDENT CHOSE IT!!! THE PRESIDENT!!!)

-2 sprigs of fresh dill

You'll start by putting the dill in the shaker or you'll muddle it a bit with your big pickle (pestle or muddler for those in the know), then you add all the liquids and a few ice cubes. You shake all that up and down, calmly and assuredly, making good eye contact with your loved one... no reference here to the pickle, we're careful not to make you make associations. Then you filter it into a pickle-shaped cocktail glass if you have one, otherwise a nice trendy cocktail glass. In a pinch, you can even use an old plastic Spongebob glass. Then you garnish with a few sprigs of dill and you're ready for action.
