The Pluitini
My dear enthusiasts, this week we're offering you a lovely little cocktail in honor of spring, none other than the famous Pluitini, named in honor of the beautiful weather that has been with us for several days. We'll have understood that it's a "brilliant" combination of "rain" and "martini," won't we?
In fact, this cocktail is to prepare for the arrival of our only summer beverage, our Spritz Boréal, which will soon go into production for its 2025 vintage at the Distillery. Our Spritz Boréal combines St-Ephrem strawberry with Bury melon and Weedon rhubarb to give you a unique, fruity mixture emblematic of early summer in Quebec.
Let's go, don't worry, it's not complicated and it "looks" great:
-2 oz fresh watermelon juice (or store-bought watermelon juice)
-2 oz of our Québécøl Spritz Boréal
-1/2 oz Cointreau
-1/2 oz maple syrup
-1/2 oz lime juice
-A small wedge of watermelon for garnish
You'll start by filling your shaker halfway with ice. After that, you'll add the watermelon juice, the Spritz Boréal, the Cointreau, the maple syrup, and the lime juice. You'll shake it until the shaker gets very cold, then you'll strain it into a martini glass. You can then garnish with a small wedge of watermelon if you want to be fancy.
*note: the photo is clearly staged, as the guy doesn't look cold enough!
