The Evidence

Back this week, the Québécøl team offers you the obvious. Not that it's a particularly obvious cocktail to make, more that we have to face the obvious... the season is over. We didn't want to make you cry this morning, but you have to do what you have to do. On the other hand, if you start to cry, L'Évidence can help console you.

How do you know when the season is over? Here are 3 easy tips:

1 - All stores sell school supplies

2 - You've been eating zucchini for a week and you don't even seem to have made a dent in the pile and

3 - Our friends the flies are much less present.

But even though we have to face the facts (hence the title), the fact remains that we still have the option of making a cocktail that brings back summer. Like a dense sun but where we wouldn't have to move too much... This week's cocktail involves our rising star, the CØYØT, our strawberry liqueur and a few other little surprises. Just for you... yes you I see you in the background.

We're leaving.

-1.5 oz of CØYØT

-2 oz of our summery Boreal Spritz

-1 small banana (no need to be embarrassed, too big it would hurt...HARM IN THE BATINCE RECIPE - stay focused)

-2 ounces of coconut cream

-2 ounces unsweetened pineapple juice

-1 cup of ice cream

-pineapple slices for garnish

Now to do all this, you will need a blender. You start by putting the CØYØT (the liqueur NOT THE ANIMAL) and the Spritz Boréal in the blender. You give them a turn to mix well. You put that in the bottom of a "Tom Collins" or "Hurricane" type glass, in the latter case it's seasonal... full fashion. Then you will knead the banana (without making contact with the eyes), the coconut cream and the pineapple juice until you obtain a smooth consistency. You will pour this last mixture gently on top of the previous one in your glass from earlier. You finish by garnishing it with a slice of pineapple and a yellow, red, orange... or pink maple leaf? Enjoy my pit, the holidays have not been easy!
